Licensed Outdoor Guide

Description

A NYS Licensed Guide is a person who offers services for hire which include directing, instructing or aiding another in fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, canoeing or kayaking and rock/ice climbing. All persons in the business of guiding on all lands and waters of the state shall possess a license issued by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Licensing Requirements

Applicants must file an application with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (ENCON).
