Description:

An Excess Line Broker is authorized to procure policies of specific types of insurance, 

as specified by law, from insurers which are not authorized to transact business in this state.  

Licensing Requirements:

Persons seeking to be licensed in New York State as an Excess Line Broker must apply to the NYS Department of Financial Services.
